    Has anyone fished marsden beach in front of the gotto pub. Just wondering how it's fishing and do you need a good cast coz ive never fished it before cheers

    Fished it last night with my 2-4oz bassrod using 3hook flappers, loads of flatties about, I think we managed 10 fish in all... and some little coalie, great fun on light gear. cast 30yards as most... if theres still no swell use the lightest plain lead you have
    Species: Cod, Bass, Coalie, Flounder, Dab, Rockling, Mackerel, Plaice, Pollock, Ballen Wrasse, L/S Scorpion, Common Blenny, Weaver (unfortunately), Whiting, Common Eel, Trout, Pike... think that's it

        Fresh mack and rag was the key last night mate

            fresh mackerel? where is this secret supply i remember about a year ago me and a friend where wadeing out and dropping out bait in, holding out rods for bites, catching small stuff, was good fun!

              you can still get fresh mack if its not in season on the shoreline.... thats why trawlers were made
