some cracking spots but like yourself i'm just really learning the marks, just look for the darker coloured water on tynemouth and it shows where the holes are. also if you like rough ground fishing there is slaty gut and south crab hill which are good shots which are the north side and and on the outh side there are some rock marks such as bathing pool skeer, sharpness and lobster potts, never fished them just know their name so cant give advice on them. anyway I'm sure someone who has more experience than me can give you better advice or you could try and get hold of the codling crouch for a lot of info on the marks

fished the bears head in last club match sat night for an hour, sml tommy's & rockling so moved on2 the north hill m8 ended up with one for 2lb & i missed 2 good fish from the point, just would'nt take the bait down. first fish hit yellows & crab, second fish yellows & razor. thing is i ended up with just using yellows & mussel bcause my foodflask lid stuck solid so could'nt get 2 my crab & razor, i tryed everything 2 get lid off even wedging the lid inbetween rocks & ledges but still would'nt budge.
then just under 1 hour of our match 2 go i gave it another try & bingo it gave but 2 l8.
fish seemed 2 come on on the flood.
