i use unshelled tiger prawns occasionally, never had anything massive using them but still have caught

seen to lads using a bag of cooked prawns at Fraser's on the Tyne they were banging in codling after codling on them so i bought some didn't catch a thing lol good luck m8 always worth testing a new bait.
You can only catch what's in front of you

was speaking to some old guy on blyth pier on saturday mick an he reckons hes caught loads on cooked prawn over the years as they are smellier than the raw. Dont know how true this is but he seemed a genuine enough guy with years of experience so who am i to question????Nothing makes a fish bigger than ALMOST being caught

Never used prawn as bait but read below its from a post i posted earlier.
Frasers had its moments also my best catch from there was 7lb cod its gut was full of prawns overspill from a boat that had been off loading its catch at the fish quayIn order to become "old & wise", you must first be young & stupid.
Age and experience will beat youth and enthusiasm every time.
Youth and Skill is no match for Age and Treachery.

Well I took some on my last trip out, but as some of you know my damn rod snapped so got no proper results. The are great for tipping a hook tho to keep ya worm on lol I think they're defo worth a chuck.Comment
