I'm going out fishing tonight and planning on fishing the high tide i am just unsure on where to fish as I think the quay is out of the question with the biggish tides. I am debating on fishing king Eddys or watts slope and just unsure where to go, so if anyone wants to give me any advice on where is worth a try tonight between north shields and watts slope it would be much appreciated.
cheers, Adam.
I fished HW last night from the prom chucking over Whitley Pipe (in front of the High Point hotel), then Brown's Bay from the Pulpit & Crawleys as the tide dropped back without so much as a sniff - even the rockling weren't biting Looked spot on as well
Other shots down that way that might be worth a look would be the Bottom of the Stairs (top end of Tynemouth Beach) or the ramp on Tynemouth Pier. If I were going to fish King Eddy's, I'd probably have a chuck into the Oxfauld, the big gulley that you can fish from the north end of the prom. Good luck wherever you go, hope this helps.
cheers gary, I fished the pier ramp on monday and I was getting weeded up almost every cast but i still managed a sized flounder and a undersize codling, so might just persevere with it tonight or have a shot as you suggested in the oxfauld or if one of them doesnt fish or i keep getting weeded up its not a very far walk to the other.
not sure what the seas like at the mo, if its up still the boat house or the south end of whitley prom chuckin towards latch dyke might be worth a shot
