  • Little Haven Beach 22nd February

Started fishing at about 12pm no bites at all until 3 o clock when my mate landed a small eel.Later i caught a flattie about half a pound in size.I Then caught a small codling followed by my mate catching a small codling, then blanked for the rest of the night.Lots of spare bait left probly heading down tomorrow again and hoping for more bites and a better day.
Any ideas on where to fish tommorow?

I came down around 4/4.30ish, had a couple of coalies and small codling, just used the old bait of friday so cant complain testing my new rod.

sk4 16ft, want to try it with a 4oz for summer beach fishing, 12lb line, abu mag elite, 40lb shockleader... easy distance fishing im hoping and looking positive from the 1st try.

I have a sk4 5-7oz, and was very impressed with it so though i'll try one of the 16ft, i was shocked how soft it was mind.

Sounds like a canny combo. Don't suppose you'll be using it at the blocks though

Just meant the 12lb line in the combo mate not the rod. I personaly wouldn't go below 15lb off of shields and then it would have to be summer, nice weather etc.
