had a few hours over low water today on the rock edges on the headland, Hartlepool. got there for 10am fished the wreck hole first (couldnt actually get spot on to the mark because of the swell, but near as dam it ) 3 casts - two codling out straight away first one about a 1lb the next about 1 1/2lb, both went back fit and healthy. nowt next cast, then got a cracking bite...which didnt come back swell started to cover the rocks, so head off to fish the front of the folly, nothing first 2 casts then got a small codling, maybe touching 1lb, went back. headed off home after finding out my phone was kaputt. i did get photos, which...you guessed it... were on my phone. found out the rain water had been seeping in my pocket on my suit...thus; frying it!!

baits used: Razor, fresh rag, fresh lug, frozen blacks, mussel, cock clams & squid.

rag worm seemed to be the bait of the day!

still enjoyed it, even though i now have a courtesy phone which needs coal throwing in it to start it up!!

its very good in a big north/north easterly, fish come around the end of the heugh to feed in the shackles. very rough ground though, full of kelp!
