half tide up to high on the small tides,come down the stairs and follow the cliff round 40yd lob puts you in the middle of the hole,used to be my fav h/w shot a lot of good fish from there proper name chapmans gully. davy.PB

Hartley skeer to the right,this is the hole to the left of Hartley skeer chapmans or nicknamed broken leg ,used to be able to cast into the gully from the top of the cliff next to the small caravan site till it crumbled away in the late 70s,80s. davy.PB

It pays to read properly doh! I thought he meant this was the crescent and he was fishing after having a broken leg. Always thought of it as a high water mark off the cliff top. The skeer itself is a great mark in a big sea. Had some lovely fish from there and lost a few too. There's a few wicked ledges to get your fish over and some lovely weed at times. Very underrated mark. Collywell area also seems to have gone out of favour. It looked lovely on sat.
