King Eddies Bay for flatties on a small tide. But a big tide reveals a large sandbank about 30-40 yds out. casting short seems to get the flatties.
Tynemouth Longsands - Bear's Rock in the middle is always producing flatties, coalies and codling, then stoneys ,then church stairs as you walk north up beach.
Then onto the rocks leading round to Cullercoats... I always see headlamps out there... probably Curtis.Dunn
Whitley Beach from BoardWalk Cafe to the Rendezvous Cafe and a bit further depending on wind and sea direction
Or if you wanna go right up north, Alcan Beach (southern section of Lynemouth Beach) Park up at visitors carpark and walk around the back of the Seabait worm farm. Down to the right is a fairly steep beach with a couple of deep holes, straight ahead is the pipe surrounded by huge boulders, and a hundred yards or so to the left is the rest of Lynemouth Beach (North).
