Don't forget to bring plenty of tackle as you will definitely loose gear on the north side of the harbour !

If you want a cod you've a batter chance at the chippie above the harbour..

            cullercoats

Id take a rod rest and try the north peir, Out towords the harbour mouth,

You could allways move around to the beach then onto the rocks if you get a outgoing tide you can target a few areas,

Aye av seen the north pier when the tide is running a little too dangerous a would say !!!
Had a look down today and found a feww decent spots to try looks very tackle hungry
But if you don't try you will never find out !!

I've looked at the promenade just north of the bay and it looks fishable on a high tide. Has anyone on here had any luck their?

There used to be a few fished into the Goatsies at high tide but that was years ago. Also a few fished off the Table Rocks, under the Coastguard Station, casting into the boulders, looking south. You don't hear of many fishing the north side at all, these days.

I've fished the gullies between the skeers jutting out from the the small promenade between the Lifeboat and Marconi point, both on the flood and ebb, rough and calm, a few times, but gave up going there as never had a bite.

Mite try North Crab Hill myself, just round the corner form Marconi point in Browns Bay, although may have to wait till next week as its going to be a cany tide.

Table rocks next to pool looks like a decent spot for low water too.

Thanks for info. Just thought that prom thing looked easy access, maybe for someone less able.

Well the promenade is easy acces thats for sure, drive your car right down to where your fishing.
I've not been down there at night so may be worth a punt if thats when your planning?
