  • Recomendations for a new bass rod

Thinking about giving up for the cod and going species hunting instead, so any recomendations for a good quality bass rod

i use a carp rod, 3.25lb test curve, its a fox deadbait, got it really cheap, about £50 quid, really light, responsive, thin, i use it for float, lure and light beach/river fishing.
Ideal for wieghts 2-3oz but will handle a 4oz easy and have used 1's with redgills for pollock too. Nice progressive bend, and easy thumps a 3oz lead 100yards with the fixed spool and handles fish comfortably with having a 4lb pollock last year the rod just controles the fish's dive.

    maybe worth a look.

Iv just been getin myself a second hand sonic sk3 BASS 3- 5 oz. Only paid 30 notes for it in imaculate condition. Feels a nice rod, il be testing it out on the beach Saturday night with a scratching rig and hopefully christening it not much else happening with these daft westerlies and flat seas. Bring on some south easterlies

the penn pro bass its not that cheap but the quality is first class what you would expect from penn, casts two to four oz but casts best with three oz, price about sixty eight quid it is eleven ft six inches and is three sections ,the good part about this rod is the reel seat position its spot on for the small multiplyers.use one myself highly reccomend it worth your while looking at one .
