Those photo's are shocking i cant believe people would catch fish then just leave them to die on the shore

Yes Scotty it is a common site over on the Mull of Galloway. It is true that some days its a dogfish a chuck and they can be a pest when after other species. Its no excuse to kill them though.

I was at East Tarbet a couple of years ago and found a dozen or so had been chucked well above the high water mark by a bunch of angling yobs.

Sadly they were from this neck of the woods as I later found out. The same yobs were also trying to shoot sea gulls with air rifles !!!!

A total disgrace to mankind never mind angling !!!

I know some anglers have the attitude "well its not my rubbish why should I clear it up". I understand their stance on this but imagine the state our marks/shoreline would be in if everyone though like this. No I care too much for our sport and our lovely coastlines so will always do my "wombling act" when out on the shore,fishing or not !!!

Picked up over 10 bags of rubbish mainly plastic and beer cans between blyth pier and the car park during the macky season whilst walking the dog along there. Makes it a more pleasant and safer walk plus i feel ashamed of the impression it leaves of so called anglers,preaching to the converted on here hopefully ,still more to pick up since then ,ongoing unfortunately....rant over............Dave.
