    am spilt between the wr300 and a mk3 apollo and was wondering what the rod is like and how it will handle the ruff stuff will also be fishing mixed and sometimes clean ground what rr your thorts on the mk3

    Loved my wr300 till I got my mk3 Apollo!! Never used it much again so sold it and bought a 2nd Apollo. It handles the rough stuff far better stiffer tip in wind but still has great bite detection. I use mine on the rocks, beach and pier and it handles fine everywhere!

      If I remember right, was it you that lost the kompressor sport on Tynemouth? Did you like that rod? I have a kompressor and I think it's a great allrounder. May be worth investing in another one if your using it for all grounds. People say they are soft for rougher ground but I think they can handle it well.

          Ahh, did you ever find it? I would have had the snorklin gear our up and down the beach!
