Hey up Jonny lad, i,ve been fishing Smith\'s dock lately and always managed to catch codling, although only on the small side one to two pounds. All along the coast is quite at present, we definitely need a good sea away.
My advice save your petrol and stick with Smith\'s, fish frozen crab a couple of hours either side of high or low water
jonny I don\'t know if you have fished many rock marks before but before you go on check the tide times and keep your eyes open behind you as it is easy to get wrapped up in your fishing and get trapped there. Spend some time before you go on and make sure the waves are not going to come over the top of you, like happened to me two weeks ago.
Don\'t let this stop you from fishing the rocks just be carefull mate.
Jim.

Just to add to that theres a couple of spots where you can get cut off especially in front of the Church (church point),I know through experience ! happy days \"not\".We still laugh about it now but not at the time got very wet as I only had my walking boots on.
Just been told by the good lady that Santa is bringing me an Imax flotation suit !!!!!!!. She has ordered it herself from Veals and she says whats a hundred quid when the suit may save your life. Very true, we cannot be too careful on some of the local rock marks.
