Don't think so as 5 mins before the helicopter came we could hear an ambulance with sirens on full blast coming along the amble road. Sure i seen the winch man being lowered down onto the rocks.

        From WSF Forum

first of all would id like to thank air sea rescue for well deserved rescue me and my mate fished the amble open today at low hauxley fishing wasnt good in fact a blank apiece never mind. 1 of the lads near us was fishing with his friend when all of a sudden 1 of the lads took ill i rushed over to see if the lad was ok lucky his mate was a paramedic a very well done to this man sorry no names got his mate in the recovery position and got him round by this time the tide started to come we had to get this man off this rock before the tide came round so his mate rang air sea rescue was scated a well planned operation took place and a big well done on the guys who were in volved i stood back and let the experts take over brillant service and again a well planned rescue hope the guy recovers well and once again a very big well done

                Aye get well soon.
Giving these lads a donation of a few quid a week is money well spent I think.

It wouldnt be a bad thing to maybe have some sort of sponsored comp where the funds could be donated to them as a way of sayin thanks.regards Baz

Bearing in mind that in the not too distant future, after consultation, you may find that Boulmer becomes a part time station covering only daylight hours and you guys may have to wait longer for a chopper to arrive from elsewhere or one of us handsome coastguards may have to handball you off the rocks so lay off the pies!
The MRCC down in Humber (the guys who co-ordinated your rescue) may also become a daylight hours only service and your rescue may be co-ordinated in future from the south coast.....Have your say here!
