yes will help but fishing rough ground your still gonna loose line at some point.

welldone tho if you or your mates have avoided this

if your using it straight through then adding a silicone sleeve over knots that you tie to a swivel helps

i fish mainly 20lb bs braid mainline with the normal mono shockleader, in this i have a `rubbing` strip already

fishing through weed is to my mine easier as it being thinner and far less stretch than mono it cuts though most weed

the main issue using braid is a snag, with mono you can wrap the line around you arm/hand and give it a pull, try that with a finer line braid and you basically have a cheese wire which will quite happily slice in
