        David, buy it! set up as fishing guide do some bed n breakfast,wee tackle shop in a shed, write in your spare time

          That's the hotel aint it? Stopped there many times. I wish I had the dosh to buy it. I've had many good times for years fishing at coldingham and my favourite boozer is the anchor, great grub!

            It's a lovely, if somewhat busy, spot and Coldingham beach must be one of the nicest on the east coast. If I were a betting man I would worry that it will end up as another private dwelling (like the St Abbs Hotel and Castle Rock before it) There was also Springbank Cottage - the B&B in St Abbs Harbour but I see it's been taken off the market.

            Must admit it's tempting.

                I also liked the one on top of the hill that was turned into appartments, it was just convenient when having a walk along to St Abbs. I think it was called the Haven. What was the one called just a couple of doors up from the Anchor which is now a house?
