Given up on cod any tips on flatties in Newbiggin bay
Got one more day left before Im back to London,I was going to fish Private beach but dont see the point due to distinct lack of fish, so as my fam are metal detecting on the beach and messing about I thought a chuck in the bay from the promenade beach might throw up a flattie or two.Any tips please ?There used to be a hole on the right /south side is that still there?Even another few coalies will do!!!!
All the best
Mark
Hi Mark. with low water being around tea time, and a small tide you might have a better chance of a few fish at the northern end of the bay, fishing an ebb tide with the wind behind you. Pop into Morrisons and pick up a Mackerel, and tip off your baits with the white of the belly cut into strips. ( i save all the belly bits from ones caught in the summer ) best of luck.
