  • NESA lonely hearts club!

Intermediate sea fisherman, 26 GSOH seeks another fisherman of similar age for fishing trips (and nothing else..!).

Basically, I'm after a fishing buddy. I'm based in Gosforth, Newcastle and tend to fish the area from Seaton Sluice to Blyth Pier and parts of the Tyne such as Spillers and St. Peter's basin. Up to now I've only fished by myself - although I tend to chat to other anglers when they're about.

I fish at least once a week - mostly on Sundays with the odd mid-week session thrown in after work if time allows. Have got my own car but would want to share fuel costs, bait costs, lift share etc. Just common sense stuff really.

It'd be good to learn with someone else as I have only been sea fishing for about 2 years now, although I must admit I've got a case of 'all the gear and no (maybe a little) idea!' I'm not opposed to beginners - you might learn something from me too! Also, if you're not a member of NESA and are a bit of a 'lurker' feel free to join and get in touch.

Send me a PM if you're interested.

    Cheers,
    James

Why don't you join one of the clubs, mate? Tynemouth, Whitley, Seaton Sluice ... there's loads of them. It costs next to nothing and you'll learn as much as you want to from all those other anglers.

The regular on local piers are always a good start aswell. Just be chatty and once your recognised it can be a good laugh mate. Club might be the way forward though....

              Thanks lads.

I've had a bit of interest so we'll see how it goes. If not I'll probably end up joining one of the local clubs.
