When I left the Amble weigh in there hadn't been a fish other than flounders weighed into our Marathon! I think it was won with just over 11lb of flounders. I had 6 for four and a half pound before heading up North to beadnell and trying for cod in the darkness over high water. Tried three marks for nowt and should have probably stuck it out for flatties but I had my fill after 5 hours!

Plenty of flatties for the Amble lads, mostly from Warkworth.

I decided it would be a good idea to fish for cod............

As Tony said, most of the flats were from Warkworth.
Where were you Tony? Did you have any bites? When we got up North, it just didn't look right and I didn't have any confidence to be honest! The highlight of the night was taking three attempts to get up the hill at Dunstan steads! I said to Darren on the way down we shouldn't be coming down here! It was touch and go at the top but we just made it! Last comp for me on Sunday before off back to Singapore for six weeks, I can't wait for some heat! It will make a nice change from this bloody freezing cold!

I was around the Lynemouth area Graham.
Not a touch until darkness, then small coalies. Waste of bait, I should have been on a sandy beach somewhere.
