                  Lynemouth Pegged Match 29th Dec

Anybody know if its a 2 only or 3 hook only match, and is it measure and release or fished to our normal legal size limits i.e. cod/coalfish 35cm etc.

                    Replied to your pm mate.

Will will be fishing to MAFF rulebook.

A notice will be displayed in Anglers United window showing size limits.

Tight lines and best of luck

Is the comp anywhere within the boundaries or is there going to be some form of draw for pegs?.
                      Might give it a whirl

It's a peg match mate..pegs will be drawn at the Anglers United shop on registration.

I will be pegging from the burn at Lynemouth going north to the railway skeer..this is approx 650mts.We will peg at 20mt apart so will accommodate 33 anglers.
If we need to we will peg south from the burn(flood water maybe a problem) and we estimate we would peg possibly 50 in total.
I don't think we will get big numbers due to the poor fishing of late and also a lot of lads will have been fishing there local club comps and also the opens over the Xmas holidays, and with poor results you cant blame them for not turning up for this comp.

But it's for a good cause so here's hoping.
                        Thanks H

                            Results

                            29 anglers fished.

Only one cod 3lb 6oz caught by Phil Twomcowski...winning £72.50 plus heaviest fish£29.00.

2nd one flatty..9oz caught by Bill Murray winning £43.50

3rd.no fish so £29.00 entered into raffle table.

                            Donations from anglers raised £145.00
coffee machine money donated by Gary(anglers united) £50
                            Raffle raised £66.00

Total donation to the RLNI was paid in cheque form £261.00

Again very poor on the number of fish.
A lot of good anglers fished for very poor results, but a magnificent donation to the RLNI.

I would like to thank all that attended the match and also for there kind donation to the RLNI.
We will be running another peg competition again as it seems well liked and there was no problems and ran smoothly.
I will post up some pics later
                            Cheers H
