My mate rockhopper has a wr300.he's totally abused it,but its still in good working order. They reckon the 13ft is a lot stiffer than the 14ft?.I prefer the 13ft apollo, have used it in summer for flatties, smooth hounds etc And on the rocks at whitburn over the winter, can't fault it.

well lads I bought a WR300 from lewis tackle today, did me a good deal on a new one, service was excellent, would recomend Lewis to anyone. Thanks for all the advice. i also bought a saltist 20 (did not get the saltist from Lewis) I will use my slosh 30 with the WR300 and the saltist with my AFAW clubman plus for river/ beach/pier.
Cheers

I said in an earlier post but forgot to mention this time that when I tried to fit my slosh 30 to the standard wr300 reel seat the reel's bracket was to small. Couldn't believe it as the reel I was taking off was the smaller 7ht. I couldn't get the reel seat off the rod at the time without damaging the butt sleeving because it was so tight so had to revert to unravelling the birds nest in the 7ht. The slosh30 was a 2000 model so the fixing bracket may have changed but it's worth checking out before you go fishing with it.
