Hi Smithy what kind of fishing are you after it for? (summer is a bit vague). Reason I ask is they are two different rods. Haven't used the Lite but I do know it is a light beach rod designed to chuck 3 - 4 oz into the surf or for estuary work.

TTLD on the other hand is a completely different animal, a real wolf in sheeps clothing. I probably use mine for over 90% of my fishing be it off the colliery beaches, north pier / roker etc in all seas and wethers. While it is a very thin and light blank it is still very powerful, I've cast 5oz over 200 yards with mine on the field and it will put 5oz plus bait a long way with a fishing pendulum. It is no slouch with an old fashioned overhead wallop either. Rated to 5oz plus bait but I've pendulumed 6oz plus bait and it handles it fine. Sit well in the tide and wind, decent bite detection and plenty of feel with a fish on. I rate it as the best fishing rod I've ever owned. However I certainly wouldn't class it as a light beach rod, it is far more than that.
