I normally manage to persuade er indoors to have a holiday in the UK with the motive of being able to have a chuck from different places around our shore that I read about in mags. Last summer we went to Conwy in North Wales and though I only had 2 sessions the fishing was great in the estuary with almost a codling (keeper) a chuck on fresh peeler. However this year she's put her foot down and demanded that we go abroad. In view of that I've booked up for Jersey (channel islands) in July for a week, that's abroad in it? So I would be very grateful to hear from anyone on the Forum who has fished from the shore there and any advice they could give me on fishing venues, bait etc. on the Island.
    Cheers

Was there about 20 years ago. Big mullet swimming in a foot of water in the harbour at low tide, but couldn't catch the buggers. Caught horse mackerel from boat, which they just use for lobster pot bait. Also caught cuttlefish.

Give Roger Mortimer a ring at Total Sea Fishing he used to live there and knows it very well. He put me onto the best marks when I fished there.
