Reason: Spelling
the new saltist 20 or 30 are ment to be a good reel.
i hav ebeen thinking of getting one, a few of my mates have them and they love then, they are very similar to the slosh, but they have a newer gear setup so you can grip the spool alot better and they have a better drag system, nice silver reel and look the part to.
i still love my slosh 20 and slosh 30 mind you, but i have been using my 525mag alot recently. all good reels.
i load my slosh 30s up with heavy line for rock marks, one with 35lb low diameter stuff, one with 40lb washing line for the very heavy rough stuff.
the slosh 20s and the 525 mags are setup for the beach and piers, with 20lb and 25lb line.
I have the saltist 20 & 30. Both are great reels & you won't be disappointed.
I have the 20 loaded with 15lb line with a shockleader & my 30 is loaded with 30lb line straight through.
Id buy a 535gs second hand if ya gonna get 1, I got a mint cond, used once, still in the box with all bits for £35 the other day. There (in my eyes) the same reel as a slosh 30.
Ya can't go wrong with an origional 525mag or a saltist. Only thing with a saltist is they mark really easy so if ya not carefull it will look tatty very quick.
i would get another slosh mabes the 20 and use lighter lines on it, say 18lb on it for when you fish the tyne and piers then your other slosh has 30lb on for when you fish rough ground.
Am looking for a reel for clean to mixed ground proba be using daiwa sensor 18 to 25lb
if you can find one look at the abu 6600 brutes, got mine from the states the other year, power handle as standard, initially on phos bronze bearings but the standard 6500 ball sets fit it, i used 20lb braid on mine the last two years - brill on clean beaches as you can see a prawn farting near your hook

Loads of good reels about. I really like the penn 525 mags, not tried the new ones yet but seem to be getting good reports. I'd say a 535 is too big a reel for clean/mixed ground.
Like the Abu/Akios as well for clean ground but depends on how good a caster you are, might run out of line with 25ib.
Don't know whether you could get one of the Diawa 7ht mag for that money also, now the new one is on its way ??
I think all the reels mentioned are well established as very good casting and reliable sea fishing reels. I personally would go for either a 7HT mag or turbo costing around £150 and £130 respectively. If your going for that size reel to me it means you want extra distance and for that I wouldn't use sensor as it's to high diameter line, use F1 or something like that with a low diameter to get the full potential out of it.
