  • which rods

    Ah reet lads/lasses,

I am after some advice please,

i am looking to add to my rod collection, and i am after a good sratching/flatty/bass rod, and was thinking of the greys BZE 11ft 9in?, i have a spare penn 525 in the shed and wondering if this reel would be ok to use with this rod?

I am also looking for a sea spinning rod, and again i have been looking at the greys Sea Spin, and what would be a good good fixed spool reel to go with it.

can anyone on this site share some light on these rods or some info on the reels, if there is somthing better that is out there then please let me know
also if some one is selling these rods in good used condition or somthing very similar then i may be interested

the budget i have is around what the price of the above rods are brand new to buy off the greys web sight

    thanks in advance

ihavehad bass on it, but i prefer to use a fixed spool with it. get some braid sorted on it ;D

If your after a good quality low cost spinning rod have a look at this lot. Spinning Rods
They are a bit hard to come by and most tackle shops have never heard of the brand. You can always get them on flea bay though. I have the voyager claver and love it.

the sonic sk4 spinning rods are a real treat, easy putting a 45g spinner over 100 yards, lovely coupled with a size 40 fixed spool and 20lb whiplash.

nice soft action playing fish too, but enough stick in it to bull the odd good sized pollock out from under your feet.
