  • Fixed Spool Advice

A colleague of mine has asked if I could recomend a good fixed spool for general beach fishing. I know nothing about fixed spools as I always use multipliers. He has a budget of about £100, so I would have thought he should get a good one for that. Any advice would be great

I have a penn surfmaster 850 & its ok but I am looking for something else. I also use A daiwa emcast big pit reel, funny thing is its a better quality reel all round. so why not try the sea version the Emcast Sport. About £55.00

The black anodized spool is designed to resist the rigours of salt water and the large soft grip handle assists grip when power has to be applied. For trouble free line travel and and even tougher rotor assembly we have added AirBail. Seven ball bearings, the micro adjustable front drag, Castlock and Twist Buster combine to give the Sport a full armoury.

        • AirBail 7 Ball Bearings (5 Sealed bearings) INFINITE Anti-Reverse (double stopper)
        • Aluminium One Touch folding handle with soft touch handle
        • Anodized ABS aluminum spool
        • Free extra aluminum spool
        • Twist Buster
        • Worm shaft oscillation mechanism
        • Zero Friction Main Shaft
