got caught out myself last month selling on ebay. unless you have a account with a courior then costs are sky high, as anything over qne and a half metres in length is classed as oversized. the ceepest i could find was £28. lucky for me someone local purchased mine and i could drop it off. otherwise a costly error(i only charged £12 after seeing what others were charging)

Interparcel every time. Only time you'll have problems is when you want to send a rod off the mainland, or to the highlands.

              Another vote for interparcel.

Oh and FWIW for a rod tube pop along to your local carpet dealer, if you smile sweetly at them they will often let you have a solid cardboard tube for nowt, perfect for posting rods in.

                Hi Leesdad,
Don't know if this is any help, but I recently posted a couple of fishing rods myself, and for packing purposes I went to a local carpet shop where they let me have free of charge one of their discarded cardboard tubes what they roll the carpets onto. Just the job for packing your rods into (cut them down to any size you want) and whilst I wouldn't reccomend the courier service I used, I hope this is of some help tp you.
