  • Angler washed up on seaburn beach

Just had a phone call from a mate saying he's just watched a body get recovered from seaburn beach. Apparantly wearing chest waders and a coat.

Any news? That's another one lost to the sea.

all you lads that shore fish or boat, for heavens sake think twice about every move you make, then we can ALL come home and talk about what might have been had we taken the RISK. take note of pottsys signature STAY SAFE, and make "staying safe" your goal

                      body

There was definatly a body taken off the beach around 4pm and the north side of the beach. We were fishing the gunpits at whitburn, and the mountain rescue people were walking all over.

The mate that rang me was fishing the beach when the body was getting taken away unfortunatly.

saw the rescue service recover the body,,just along from whitburn clubhouse near the old pipe,,the lads asked us if we had seen a bloke called joe with a dark suit on as they walked past us,,thought they were just on an exercise at first,,so sad,,not a pleasent thing to witness,,thoughts go out to his family..
