    very sad to hear thoughts go out to the family.....just read the gazette and the lad that jumped off saltburn did not jump alone he was with another lad both intoxicated

                More sad news . Wonder if the lad was fishing alone, like the lad who lost his life last year at Blackhall. If we are going to fish rock edges etc,we should always fish with a mate, then if anything happens the alarm can be raised quickly.

                  I havent heard anything since yesterday, nothing in the gazette or local news. Lets not confuse this incident with the brainless fools who decide to deliberatly jump into the sea for a laugh.

                    Stay safe lads.

                    Hi lads. New member so first time i have posted anything on the site. Cant believe its about another angler losing his life. Very sad. Love the sport but people need to keep safe. Its only a fish. Condolences to the family.

                        Nowt in the echo lets hope it was just a training exercise i was fishing along there a few backs and there was loads of light on the cliff tops and the beach thought some one was missing but they were just training let hope thats the case.

                              I Have a friend in the know. He is not aware of any angler being taken off Seaburn beach, good news! the chap from Saltburn pier is a different story. The 25year old lad is not in a good way.

                              This was two lads daring each other to jump off the pier & one did. Surfer brought him in & started CPR. Paramedic got him breathing again. not looking good though.

                                no sympathy at all for that lad, in simple terms hes a prat for doing such a thing, but heart does go out too family if its true about angler on seaburn beach but personaly think thy wasnt
