Anyone know an approximate price for getting a line guide changed on a rod? the ceramic insert has come off! It's only a ron thompson rod (£10 or so from go-outdoors I think) but I begrudge chucking it just for the sake of a line guide.

Also, what's the best place to go to get one done?

Do you still have the insert? Superglue or hot melt would sort it. I've heard rod builders charging £5 an eye plus price of eye.

cheers fella, but no, I have the plastic outer bit, but not the ceramic bit. £5 + the price of the eye doesnt sound too bad, thought it would be more than that to be honest.

Now then - never though of that! makes much better sense since it was a cheapo rod! Will get one ordered and stick it on.
