  • Garlieston info request

I came across this place while looking for potential fishing spots on google earth and it turns out to have what looks like an ideal little campsite and a small pier.

I'm thinking about giving it a try for next week.

If anybody who's been over there sea lure fishing or has any useful info on fishing marks for the surrounding area could either post here or else drop me a pm, I'd be most grateful

    cheers

    Steve

Thank you very much for the excellent reply Cod Father, Reg is 100% correct, I'm well chuffed !

I think I'll see what the score is for the little camp site and take myself across for a couple of nights camping/fishing

        Thanks again

main camp site in the village is a caravan club site. big sign out front saying NO TENTS. small caravan and camping club site to the rear of this, only takes 3 tents but does take non members. the harbour inn does serve great food but booking is recommended at weekends. shop on harbour front closed in may but the post office on the back street sells the basics. the camp sites called garlieston lodge and is worth a visit if you can get on. hope this helps
