  • fishing friday night

is anyone thinking about fishing Friday night?...i am ging out with my girlfriends dad for the first time and want somewhere where he will catch some fish on such a small tide....
I want a mark either rocks or beach which will fish tide down from around 7pm and it has to be north of the river....
The tide is really small so i know that restricts what marks cn be had but i always have the river to fall back on..
    Any suggestions are appreciated....

Stevie....nice to see you on NESA.

I wouldn\'t fall back on the river, m8......at Low Water, it\'s a long way down

Hello Steve. You could try Blyth Harbour mate. You can try the side opposite the wind turbines and just past the metal tree sculpture there is a nice easy access to the riverside. You can get a car right up to the quayside so if it gets too cold you can always warm up by having a sit in the car. Its well lit so you should have no problems. I usually fish two rods there with one line right out and the other line about ten-fifteen yards out. Its usually good for small whiting with the odd big one, codling and eels. I normally use a rag and lug cocktail and havent had a blank session there to date even though most of the catch is small and has to be returned. Hope this helps mate.

          cheers.

I will be out on Friday, will be fishing either Colywell bay or \"the Sumps\" probably the latter.
Two good spots, if you fancy it let me know mate.
Welcome to NESA by the way, hope you enjoy.

              Jim.
