hi lads thinking of getting one of these rod s i have never seen or had one in my hands,so could you guys help me out here by telling me what you know about the rod and what they cost many thanks .john.

ive only ever used 3 rods (Jupiter/saturn and longbeach) they are all very good rods but i have to admit that the longbeach is a far better rod than the other two in all aspects of the type of fishing i do ,(mainly Cliff top and heavy Ground i fish for Cod/codling on almost every trip but if a Whiting can swallow a 5/0 pennel rig it still gets the bite detection going so i would buy one when you can £275 but WELL worth the money, - just read post again and longbeach is the same rod as response( couldnt be ars*d to type it all out again.

Can\'t recommend them highly enough. I\'ve used mine for all sorts of fishing, clean beaches, heavy ground, piers, even for feathering for mackerel from Chesil beach when a shoal came close in. They\'re 13 foot 6 long and based on a Century blank. 275 notes, cash only.

chippy do you have to get them specially made up for the reel in the low position mate??do myou get a reducer aswell ??

All the rods Terry does are custom build to your own spec or he will advise you, all the Responses are build the same as far as I can gather apart for ring sizes and some have different colour whippings, a reducer is extra. I prefer it witha reducer as I cast reel down, my reducer has been cut in half and is always in. They are top class rods and I wouldn\'t change mine for anything, apart for another one, mine is looking a bit worn now . I\'ve had a chuck with one that was out on loan as a tester from Terry & loved it. I\'ll be getting one as soon as I can afford one. I\'ve seen Simon cast & if I can get anywhere near it with a response I\'ll be one very happy little t**t

Aye it was hard work feathering with it Peter, got enough mackerel for bait for the night though. Wish they had been 13ft 6 long mind, I\'d have had to buy a new bait freezer.
