  • Eat flounder - live longer

In Daily Telegraph today, on the health page: "You're body is a temple... so eat flounder.. an excellent source of low-fat protein, it is rich in vitamin D. Also known as flatfish, flounder is full of trace minerals such as phosphorus, potassium and selenium, whose antioxidant effect can have an anti-ageing effect and may help prevent the onset of cancer."

They fail to add that flounder tastes like sh**e, like.
    PBs...Cod 8lb2oz.. Turbot 3lb2oz.. Whiting 1lb8oz.. Coalie 1lb9oz.. Flounder 1lb7oz.. Dab 15oz.. Plaice 13oz.. Bass 1lb 6oz

Don't think I'll be taking much notice of that article ! I've tried cooking flounder all sorts of ways and it still tastes like soggy cardboard. Any flounder I catch goes back in the sea. Anyway I've been told I've got the body of a god..................Buddah ! which means I want to look after it, so stuff your healthy food.

They have phosphorus, potassium and selenium in because they spend most the life sat under chemical plant outlets and waste pipes grubbing around in last Sunday's meal waste...think i will stick with some other meal thanks

They are okay if you cook them the Rex Hunt way.
Fill a big pan with at least 4 gallon of water.
Bring to the boil and put the Flounder in then add a brick.
Boil till the fish is gone.

              Then eat the brick.........
