Gary nice to meet you last night mate. I am not really bothered where I fish as long as I can. If there is enough interest can\'t see why not. Just waiting for some ideas and we will see what everyone fancy\'s.
Ell put a post on here about fishing different places it is a great chance for all of us to try new places.
Since meeting Tony and Ian, I have fished a few new places south of the Tyne and it is always interesting whether you catch or not.

    Jim.

somrthing that was breifly mentioned prior to ths one was a pier comp. would make it more social, could be catch and release, lengths of fish etc, so no minimum sizes, everything would count, so everyone could be in with a shout for prizes

thats a canny idea mark if it was a point system ,we can catch and relese, plus if its a peir its a better chance for a bit crack,if we are closer together, could even pick a beach a point a IB.after all in the boat comp i only got one point for my 17IB CODim not moaning just making a point so no one read this the wrong the boat comp was a good comp just like last nights

why not have the same as the last one, pier or roving, but maybe on a sunday afternoon for those who want to take the kids...would suggest south of the tyne for the next one though,to make it fairer for the lads who travelled this time

so in your eyes it takes the same skill to catch a 1 IB cod as it does to catch a 17 IB cod, you get 1 point for each fish, and you would be happy getting a point for each fish, even though i went out that day to target big cod, just getting my point over dont bite

good idea having a pier one, but would have to make sure its a big pier you pick... like plenty room to accomodate us..lol.lol. preferably not one of the nights they have club comps..could prove a bit busy especially if there was a heavy sea running.. Just a thought.

i mentioned earlier in the shore comp thread that i would organise a comp in the river wear after the turn of the year. if everyones in agreement we could have a pegged match at the glass centre stretch of the river feb/ march time. i would suggest a similar format ie £10 per man with half going to the rnli. this time though i think it would be a good idea to make it an open and dish some fliers out about the website to try and recruit new members, i\'m quite willing to do the organising printing and distribute some posters etc. i think it would be an opportunity to raise the profile of nesa. this is a good website but could get even better with some new members.
i\'ll look through the tide tables this week and see if i can come up with a provisional date, would have to be an evening comp though as i\'m busy every weekend.

dont you think that opening it up to anyone
the top anglers of the north east will come along just for the money side of things
                            and i know they would
i know it raises more money
but ten again where do you draw the line

                            only my point of view

                            what do any others think

if the top dogs really wanted to fish they would simply register with the site to fish if it was members only.
i think opening a comp up though would be a good thing, more members, more money for a good cause and whats wrong with a bit competition from the top dogs anyway!
