The UK has signed up to international agreements that aim to establish an 'ecologically coherent network of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs)' by 2012. This means the network will be a collection of areas that work together to provide more benefits than an individual area could on its own.
Net Gain has been established to work with stakeholders to identify and recommend MCZs in the English North Sea only.
Representatives from Net Gain will be at the North East Sea Angling and Boat Show this year. They will give you the correct answers to how Marine Conservation Zones are going to affect sea anglers and bait diggers.
So come along to Nissan Sports & Social Club, Washington on 13th and 14th November and you will have the opportunity to speak to them in person.
