Lovely rod to fish with mate, very nice action. I got it for rough ground and it does the job well but be aware it is not as stiff as everyone says it is, the tip felt a wee bit floppy compared to a TT Sport which surprised me. The deal is the whole rod locks up when hauling. Perfect mixed grounder. If its really rough stuff your after I'd have a look at other options.

the crest is a stiff rod tip isnt much difrent to the kompressor ss or ttr, the butt is softer then the ss and ttr tho so its easier to use, makes a nice c curve when casting. for rock fishing id prefer a j curve rod but the crest will definatly handle it.

The Crest follows in this family tradition but it's a more powerful rod.

Crest is a canny rod for rough ground or intermediate tournament casting. Stiff but fairly forgiving it is way way overgunned for clean beach or mixed ground work. Spot on for hauling through the kelp or over the rocks though.
As for the CME I'd describe it as an "inbetween" rod. Too pokey for clean ground but a bit undergunned for rough work and a very heavy blank to boot. It is though a great rod to learn to cast on, I did my first 200 metre cast with mine before trading up to the Crest.CLIP IT AND WHACK IT
