  • whitburn?

been for a walk along whitburn this morning and have my eye on what looks like a good low water mark, its a big skeer thats sort of in the middle of jackies beach and the shelves next to the wherry bit of a trek to get onto it mind. goin to fish it in daylight first purely for saftey reasons but was wondering if any of the local lads could give a bit of info. thanks.

        souter shelf

between white rocks and the wherry is a couple of skeers the left one is full of kelp and the right one is rough ground kelp and rocks with the odd holes to cast into i would suggest using rotten bottoms as you rarely get any tackle back so take plenty of leads its not that deep on low water but high water either side is ok i once took a nice red cod of 6lb.8 from that same mark using rotten bottoms it did snag me up but the bottoms worked and in came the fish

        the shelf itself

        lower skeer

the path before as you get to the mark

        carpark
