At face value I doubt a new reel will give you the extra distance you are looking for. The Slosh is plenty capable of reasonable distance.

Questions first - what breaking strain line have you got on the reel? The higher the b/s the less distance you will get and while for rough ground work 25 lb + line is essential from clean beaches you don't need any more than 15lb (.35mm) and a 60lb shockleader. Also how is your reel set up? Is the end float too tight and how many brake blocks are you using? Ideal set up for a Slosh is probably a tiny bit of end float, one red block and a drop of engine oil in the bearings.

My advice would be to get the reel set up right then get some casting lessons. With the rod you have and a well set up reel 150 yards on the field (100 - 120 yards on the beach) should be easily in reach.
