Take it you mean this one. Granted sometimes he'll be lucky and get them 1st pull but as I said before this video is edited. The guy in the video before digs them just as quick, which is what I was stating.
i would deffo invest in a pump mate i have dug on a beach with some good bait diggers and we are getting about 150 worm the lads who come on with a pump are getting 400 to 500 worm and make it look easy without breaking a sweat the pump you need are the slim alvey ones that are half a foot longer than the normal slim alveys
i was up the silvers one day digging lug a bloke pulled up got out the car and started walking his dog on a lead and he started to used a bait pump at the same time i watched for a bit it looked easy we both made our way back to the car we had about the same amount ov lug as me he'd been there half an hour i'd been there two hours going to have me sel one
i was on a beach in wales in july watching three lads pumping blacks, incredible how they just about has a black every pump, had a few words and borrowed a lads pump while he had a fag, result two worms in twenty odd attempts, certainly a knack and those lad insist the long thin pumps are a must.....

Your better off using a bit washing up liquid, watered down into the air hole, oppersite the handle mate & rince in sea water.
I use the alvey slimline and there is definitely a knack to it and takes a while to get that knack. I would love to take it to wales or the west coast where there are loads of black but not sure where to go now I have the knack lol. I use vegetable oil to lubricate as it's a natural mineral which won't pollute the environment or the worms. Much better than washing up liquid or oil. It will take you a while to get used to it but just persevere
good tip is to pump casts that sit in a small pool of water. this helps the suction, and take a bottle of washing up liquid as your pump will need lubricating every 20 goes
