i was once thinking of getting a bait pump but changed my mind after chatting to a bait digger on blyth beach last year and was told they wont work on our coastline because of the type of ground we have, he says they will just keep blocking up because we have hard sand , now maybe he spot on or he just doesnt want me collecting my own bait.... but if anyone is using one on our coastline would be grateful to here how they do .. because they aint cheep.

I think he's been pulling your leg mate, as I as well as many others use them on our coastline with excellent results, correct tides etc .

Its not as easy as it looks with a pump. If you're good with both a fork and a pump there isn't much difference in speed when extracting worm. Dont forget that video has been edited.

There is no way u will dig a black/yellow as fast as someone who pumps them well..

Theres a video somewhere of a lad digging blacks on the west coast, he's just as fast if not faster than the lad with a pump

That lad with the pump is no good. Have a look at the vids that get the worm in one go...
