  • Howick Tips? :)

    Hi all,

I'm working up that way on Sunday and should be finished in time for High Tide. Can anyone give me any tips/tactics/rigs/bait suggestions?

I went coasteering around the doctors house a couple of weeks ago around mid tide and it looked very fishy - also looking forward to trying somewhere different.

I've got a few fresh peeler, frozen peeler, frozen black and mussels. Would it be worth getting some lug/rag as well? I'm assuming its mixed/rough ground so rotten bottoms will be a must.

    Cheers in advance,
    James

It's very rough ground there mate, I fished swine dene and i was getting stuck nearly every chuck. Sure they are low water shots mind but I'm not so clued up on the area. Fresh peeler would be the best bet I would think, flat sea also is best I think.

Might be worth taking a lure rod mate.... Nt fished that way bit with the rough stuff there might be a few pollock and stuff kicking about. Best of luck and will wait for your report!
