  • WR 300 or Kompressor SS

Still pondering over a new rough ground rod, what do people think of the above? i have heard the SS has a stiffer tip section?

Had TTR's etc and they are a bit too much for what I'm after so figured a kompressor of some sort would be the answer.

    Any feedback appreciated.

    Cheers

If the TTR was to much for you, personally I think both the SS and WR300 migth also be overkill aswell, you may be better off with a tip tornado sport

i have both the latest Kompressor S and a Kompressor SS

in my own humble opinion, unless your yarking 8 ounce whole mackeral/squid baits out, the Kompressor S is more than enough of a stiff rod for 6 ounce weight and big baits off the rocks/piers/rough ground around the north east - its a cracking rod, and a lot more of a pleasure to use than the SS.
      My Weapons of Choice

      RODS:
Shimano Aspire 130 AX Surf , Shimano Aspire 140 AX Surf, Reelsport Responce ,Team Daiwa TDXS 130XM for the rough, Shakespear Ugly Stick Gold 7ft Spinning

      REELS:
Shimano Speedmaster CFS IV x3 , Abu 7500 C3CT Blue x 2, Abu 7500 CT Elite, Penn 970 mono mag for the rough, Shimano 4000 Exage for Spinning

the sport and super sport have the same tip just the butt on the ss is stiffer, theres not much difrence with the ss and ttr, never tried the new sport but i had the older 1 and it was mint easy to cast aswell sends a lead a good distance

Didn't like the SS at all, too stiff. Reelsport Long Beach/Response is very good as is the Sonik SK4 5-7oz

                    Kompressor S

I have the previous version of the Kompressor S and it can seem a bit tippy at times but its a proper fishing rod.
