  • Bluey?

I used some Bluey for the first time last time I went fishing but didnt catch nothing with it. I ended up keeping some and putting it in the freezer (dont tell wor lass)

Im not sure if I was using it correctly so can someone please advise on the best way to use this as a bait?

Also what is it best for catching and does it work through the winter?

    Thanks in advance.

Use as you would mackerel mate, for tipping worm baits etc...could be used in strips for whiting i suppose but mackerel is cheaper and works well

Use it for tipping off worm baits or on it's own in bigger bits for cod deffo worth a shot just keep going with it. Produces a lot more oils than mackeral.

Infact i used it today to land a 40cm flounder when worm baits were not getting touched.

mate its a very underated bait, my personnel opinion is that its a killer bait, thing with this bait any type of fish will eat it, this is all u use up places like arbroath up scotland for cod, av used it an out fished lads using crab and had fish up to 4 1/2 pound on it, the lads are right tho, use worm with it, you will get better results, am gunna use it off the rocks this winter in jan feb time
