      sinkers

I made some sinkers out of metal tube off a bunk bed that i was given for free, cut into 4 or 5 inch sections, fill them with cement, which i also got free along with some stainless steel welding rods.if i lose any they cost me nothing but the time to make them.

Its a shame we could,nt use drilled pebbles like they do for carp fishing.

If your fishing the rocks then you probably wont need to be hitting huge distances, ive been using 3-4 spark plugs tied together or 1-2 large hub nuts. Just make sure you use heavy line to tie them together. Then hang the heavy line onto the rotten bottom hook as you would with a lead weight.

Im sure that if you pop into some of the main car dealers and have a chat with the lads in the workshop then they would hang onto them for you, most manufacturers insist on renewing the hub nuts as standard practice when renewing driveshafts etc, might cost you a fiver every couple of visits but much cheaper than lead!

ive been using wheel nuts of buses they weigh 5-6ozs
which is perfect so if u know any 1 that works on buses/coaches ask them they might be able to get u some, not very aerodynamic but still cast canny far with them
