  • Micro Species Records

I recall seeing a list of the shore caught fish records somewhere that also included a section of \"Micro Species\" records - ie butterfish, gobies, etc... Anyone know if this is available online anywhere?

Does anyone know the rules for fishing these species too? For example are you allowed to fish rock-pools (with a rod and line obviously) just thinking it might be something fun for the kids to get into next summer....

        Got the list, cheers Sless...

Interesting, I wonder how often a potential record fish from this list get\'s thrown back without a thought given, most of them aren\'t a fish people target specifically, certainly I\'ve had decent sized Dragonets off Blyth pier before and threw them straight back in without a second glance (though they\'re one of the most colourful fish i\'ve seen in our waters)....

Gonna pick up a super-light little rod and some small floats for next summer i think, be fun to get the kids hopping around the rock pools to see what we can find in them... might sound a bit daft, but i think it\'ll be more interesting for the bairns than standing down at the harbour catching nowt!
