  • Advice Please Frozen Peeler Crab

Been fishing using mainly worm baits like rag and lugworm, noticed on this forum lads have been catching using frozen crab, can you please give advice on this how to keep the crab frozen, and how to bait up onto hook also do you need to take shell off, hook size etc, thanks in advance lads

worms seem to be outfishing crab atm. you can take crab in a flask and take afew out 5 mins before you use them then the unused can go back. match your hooksize to fish intended to catch not the crab as you can half it, use a whole one or even two. if you buy from shop frozen i think it would be shelled as i think they need lungs removed before freezing so you would just need to hook and tie on.

dont think that crab is the must have bait, ive had more fish using worm/mussell/razor. there are times when crab will work better than worm but i think worm has the edge.

To be honest i'm getting fish on all kinds of bait at the moment. Crab, worm, razor they are all working but i think it's just that there are so many fish there they will take anything you can get infront of them.
