happend to me and a mate other week , we simply put a bit of washing up liquid in the spigot left it for about 30 mins so it seeped in, 30 mins latter we got hold of the rod pulled and hey presto came apart.

get two people, one twists the top half of the rod one way and the other twists the other, i've had that problem with me afaw before even without the snow.

Take the but cap of ,using the rod rest leg put it up the middle of the blank you should be able to nock it out with out any great force or doing any damage to the rod, i had to do it one time as i was out fishing by myself and had the same problem and no one to help me take it apart, and it does work, you can only do it if the spigot is thinner on the tip section and they are on the anyfish rods.

let us no how you get on

A couple of bits of inner tube or other rubber is handy to give you a decent grip.

spray it on both ends ad leave to dry for a few mins. this will stop it
                      stickin again

Give it a good soak in wd 40,then when trying to pull it apart pour boiling water onto the female part of the spigot.might take a couple of goes if it's been stuck for a few month mate, but don't go mad an it will come apart in the end trust me I'm a brain surgeon LOL
