anyone used one of these?.ive got the new tip tornado sport for rough stuff so im looking for a rod for clean /mixed ground(blyth-tynemouth-sluice-whitley).the supermatch says 5 to 7 oz so not quit as stiff as the sport.like century rods so want to stick with them

hello mate,av got tt match used it the other day for first time on shields pier.Coped no problems with tide pull and fish on, plus 6oz lead, good all rounder, just my opinion though.
I've noticed since I came home that there seems to be a "tradition" up here of using ultra-stiff rods. On the south coast no-one would dream of using a TTR, WR300 or even a KompS or new model TT Sport off the beach. This is fishing in strong tides, loads of weed and for fish like Smoothhound where double figure fish are not unusual and even a 4lber goes like an express train.
Fair enough off the rock marks into kelp, but how much of that type of fishing do we do south of the Tyne? For 90% of my fishing my TTLD is first rod out of the bag. Give me a rod that bends and has some "feel" to it any day of the week over a scaffolding pole like my WR300 that does its job very well but over clean-mixed ground is no fun to fish with whatsoever.
good info on the ttld, looks like a choice between the match and the ld.will be used for clean and mixed ground around whitley-tynemouth-blyth ect.the tts will do for the rough ground.any other rods for casting 5/6 oz that i should look at

100% agree. love my ttld. next one out the bag is cccld for all round, then my crest for the rough stuff. Can't understand why a poker like komp ss is to drag in a fish of only a few pounds?? Just look at trout and carp fishing, its supposed to be sport.
i had one of these and found it to be a little bit too soft for the rockier area's, was alright on clean beach's but with a sea on it tended to pull alot. every one prefures there own stlye of rod.
