    Fixed spool reels

    can anyone suggest a decent fixed spool reel that will handle all types of ground and casts well. Any views on the penn surfmaster 750 reel?

    I've only recently taken up fishing and I managed to buy the Penn Surfmaster 850 from Weymouth Angling via Ebay, cost 49.99 inc. the p&p as I know they can retail at a higher price, received within a couple of days. It's the dog's bollocks! an excellent reel and ideal for all types of grounds and casts really well. I would highly recommend the 750 or 850 - you'll not be disappointed.
